IIRF research programme
As part of our commitment to supporting our member societies and IR professionals worldwide, we have established a research
programme aimed at collecting information about international best practice, professional standards, regulation and other issues
of importance to us all. This programme is producing unique works of reference, building on our relationships with other professional
bodies and giving the IIRF Public Affairs committee the facts to influence the global environment for IR.
These projects depend heavily on the sponsorship and support of far-sighted commercial firms, and on the willingness of IR professionals
worldwide to fill in our research surveys. Please help us to help you by taking part in the projects summarised below. The IIRF guarantees
the security of any information you give us (see "Confidentiality").

Shareholder transparency
Identifying shareholders is one of the critical issues in investor relations. Simmons & Simmons helped us to compile a summary
of transparency regulations and systems worldwide and Capital Bridge is helped us to explore the views of investors and
IR professionals.

Voting
D F King and a panel of experts from every major aspect of the voting process helped us to find out how the process works
in different countries, why so many companies and investors are frustrated by it, and what could be done to improve it.

IR activity and the role of the sell-side
- how do you compare with your peers?
Again with the help of an expert panel, and with sponsorship from Capital Bridge and Standard & Poors, the IIRF launched this
new research project in East Europe in late 2006 for its Warsaw conference, and is extending it globally in 2007 to be reported
at its Tokyo conference in December.

We would like to thank the leading global firms who are helping to make these projects possible through their sponsorship.
